A live photo wall shows guests' photos on a big screen as they're taken. It's one of the simplest ways to get a room involved, and people love seeing themselves appear. Here's how to set one up for a party, wedding or company event.
What you need
- A screen. A TV, a projector or a venue screen all work.
- A device to run it. A laptop or anything else with a web browser that connects to the screen.
- An internet connection at the venue, for that device and for guests uploading. It's worth testing this in advance.
- A way for guests to share. A QR code means they don't need to install anything.
Setting it up, step by step
- Create your event. The QRPix Live Gallery is included on every plan.
- Open the Live Gallery on your device and connect it to the screen, full-screen.
- Put your QR code in view. Print the A3 poster and place it near the screen, and add smaller signs to the tables.
- Test it before guests arrive. Upload a photo from your phone and watch it appear.
- Tell people about it. A quick announcement from a host or DJ gets the first photos going.
How to get people joining in
- Start it off. Have a few friends or colleagues upload early, so the screen isn't empty.
- Put it where people gather. Near the bar or the dancefloor works better than a quiet corner.
- Run a challenge. Silver and Gold include photo challenges that guests can enter and vote on.
Keeping it appropriate
Whatever you show will be seen by the whole room, so ask someone to keep the dashboard open. They can remove any photo instantly. On Gold and Custom, a content filter also screens uploads for explicit images. This is especially useful for work Christmas parties and corporate events.
After the event
The photos don't disappear when the screen goes off. Guests can keep looking through the gallery, and you can create a highlight reel or download everything as one ZIP. See what's included on our pricing page.
